The “mission of this course is to inform teachers about California history and to help them earn some credits during summer that they can use to move over on the pay scale.
We all learned about the California Missions in 5th grade where many of us made missions out things like cardboard and plaster of paris (sugar cubes were outlawed years ago due to the attraction they have to ants).
I’ve been to several of the missions. But I live in a town where there is one and had never been there.
This journey took me to my own home-town mission of Santa Cruz and to Carmel Mission which is nearby. I have also been to San Juan Capistrano, and San Juan Bautista.
